Day 6. I started in a tiny town in Pennsylvania, to going through a small part of West Virginia, to ending up in East Liverpool, Ohio. Staying in a very nice United Methodist Church. Just got back from their local YMCA. They let us take showers. It felt so great! Today was a little less mileage then previous days. We did approx. 67 miles. We had a few really nasty hills, however for the most part it wasn’t too tough of a ride. My day wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t fall off my bike, butttttt yess I did fall off after a teammate passed me and caught me off guard. It joined the bunch of other bruises on my legs. My tan lines are becoming more and more prominent. I’m crazy to see after 70 days what my crazy tan lines will be. Hoping to start getting my Go Pro in use. I was going to just try to get the hang of the biking stuff first. I have gotten a lot of great photos on my phone. Surprisingly, my phone takes excellent pictures. It’s unreal to think that getting up at 4:30-5:30 ish is becoming easier and normal. We slept in until 9 on the rest day and sleep never felt so great before in my life.
Day 6 is dedicated to Mike Adams. An Arapahoe citizen that is currently fighting the wicked “C” word. (cancer) I continue to pray and hope someday he is able to to stand up and say that he kicked cancers butt! That day will come Mike. Keep fighting!
