Day 7 of riding across the country. Still in awe that I'm even doing all of this. Kind of surreal. I'm currently in a local cafe in New Philadelphia, Ohio writing this post. Just had an amazing frappe thing in this very cute and cozy cafe. We rolled in around 2:00 ish. This is MUCH earlier than normal. We had are shortest ride yet. This was 57 miles. However, it was full of rolling hills. I finally kind of got the hang of gaining momentum going down a hill and it will help you get up about half of the next hill. Very pretty scenery here in this part of Ohio. Lot of farms full of cows and horses. I even saw a baby fawn! Day made!! :) My tush is the only thing hurting pretty bad right now. My legs are starting to become a little less stiff and sore. I'm officially one week in. I feel like I have known these people for months. For real, we have crossed so many boundaries for only knowing each other for one week. Like using the restroom outside. This very awkward at first, but now it's very normal. We get pretty excited though when we get to use a real toilet. For lunch today it was a very interesting combo. It was McDonalds Burgers and fries, mixed with donuts. We have 2 people in the van go around and try to get food donations. This way we can use the money that we have raised toward helping our cause. Such as scholarships, gas money for patients, chemo care bags, and etc. Needless to say, I haven't had to pay for practically any food yet. It is great not spending money. That is the college kid coming out in me! haha Well tomorrow we are back on the road and exploring more of Ohio. Just want to send a huge shout out to all those who are keeping me in your prayers and sending me motivation. Every word and message helps. I sometimes think of all of those who are supporting me and I get a little emotional and overwhelmed because I realize I'm surrounded by beautiful people. I saw this on a church board today on the side of the road and it couldn't be more perfect. It said: You may not know what is around the corner, but just remember God is already there!
So long from New Philadelphia, Ohio in a crazy cool cafe.
